Activity across Asia Pacific has remained steady through the first half of 2026, with operators and contractors progressing projects across the region.
In response, ModuSpec has supported a consistent level of demand for inspection and assurance services, as clients continue to prioritise asset integrity, compliance and operational readiness.
Broad geographic reach
Over the period, projects have been successfully completed in Japan, Myanmar, Indonesia, the Philippines, China, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Uzbekistan and Pakistan, alongside additional scopes undertaken in Germany on behalf of a regional client.
This broad geographic spread reflects both the scale of activity in Asia Pacific and ModuSpec’s ability to deploy experienced personnel across multiple jurisdictions and project requirements.
Supporting a diverse client base
The work has been carried out for a diverse client base, including national oil companies (NOCs), international operators (IOCs) and drilling contractors, with inspection scopes delivered across a variety of rig types and asset configurations.
Each project has focused on supporting safe, compliant and efficient operations through independent verification and technical assurance.
Long-term programmes
In addition, ModuSpec continues to support two long-term inspection programmes in the region, with dedicated surveyors deployed offshore for more than 18 months.
These ongoing assignments provide continuous oversight and allow for a consistent approach to monitoring equipment condition, operational practices and compliance.
ModuSpec Regional Director – Asia Pacific, Robert Hall, said: “We’re seeing consistent activity across the region, with teams delivering a range of inspection scopes alongside longer-term programmes where continuity offshore is key. Maintaining a strong on-board presence allows us to provide ongoing assurance and support our clients’ operational requirements.”
This level of activity underscores the importance of independent inspection in maintaining operational integrity, while reinforcing ModuSpec’s established presence and long-term commitment to supporting clients across Asia Pacific.
